It is impossible to deny that the environment is one of the most important yet marketable issues right now. It is rapidly becoming the focus of political conversation, business initiatives and social activism and the pressure to partake in the fight for our environment has never been higher. However, this fight does not have to be at the front battle line, a lot of the time it comes down to small changes that make the biggest difference.
For a business in this industry, it is about ensuring that environmental consciousness is starting to exist throughout a company, and that “green construction” is not something people have to go out of their way to find. Many often assumed that taking the environmentally safe path is a bigger cost than old practices, however, this is simply not true. While the implementation cost may be higher in some cases, the benefit of green practices is that the cost over time is almost always cheaper, not to mention that it adds greater social appeal to a business.
As we pride ourselves on being service orientated and finding economical solutions for our clients, we have recently introduced VENM, ENM and Waste classification services to help further inform our clients on their land and property and to also provide lower costs for you and your clients. The classification helps determine if your excavated soil can be reused, recycled or disposed of, and in the near future, we will see the introduction of different facilities to help organise and recycle this waste.
This is just one of many small changes we are making to ensure we are creating an environmental consciousness at Residential Engineering and we plan to continue being environmentally aware in the future.
